Porcelain vessel: thrown, carved, sprayed glaze with ceramic stains. 7 x 2 1/2 While working on this piece I was remembering the view from an apartment I lived in on Coki Point in the USVI many years ago.
Would love some feedback on this type of finish. The piece developed a dreadful crack in the base so it became a test for a painted finish. I used a combination of acrylics and watercolors.

9" x 4" cone 9 porcelain. I dearly love trees and weird branch structures and grew up with bedtime stories from "The Hobbit," etc. so Tolkien's Ents were the inspiration for this piece. Not sure yet if I'll paint it. Well, there's always time....as an Ent would say anything worthwhile is worth taking time to do...... Just wish I could say that in Old Entish.

The Ents Are On The Move
