Having fun wiith a bit of henna and a loads micro glitter! Henna tattoo's by Bajidoo
The magic of virtual space brought me to an amazing make-up artist in Isreal, her name is Gila, in this video you can see how I was inspired to modify her gift which came in the form of body painting and turn it into a Bajidoo Bangle! Enjoy.
Henna Paste used on wood for the purposes of producing art is the same as the henna paste used on the skin. The design is permanent on the wood and can be embellished. Once the paste is applied there is no margin for error, you cannot recover an area of ill placed paste on wood, the staining begins in an instant but darkens over time. When the complete design is on the surface of the Bangle/matching wooden gift box....it is left to cure for 7 to 10 days before the paste is removed and the design is left behind.
You will see me applying the henna to a bangle throughout the entire video as different stages of henna bangle art are presented as a henna bangle showcase.
Thanks

Using Natural Henna on Wood as a staining method enabled this Bangle design. The Henna Paste must remain on the Bangle for a minimum of 5 to 7 days before being removed. The henna will permanently stain the the wood in much the same way as it leaves a stain on the skin.
At the end of the video there are several examples of henna paste on wood ...as well as, before and after images
In October of 2005 tragedy struck the life and family of an 18 year old young man, His name is Hernan (H-E-R-N-A-N). It was a crisp fall day not unlike many others before, this one happened to host the birthday celebration for Hernan's sister . . . Hernan never completed that day. He died tragically in an auto accident.
For reason's known only to the family, there were very few pictures of Hernan once he reached his late teens. The family found two, and asked if I could create a bangle that his mother could wear . . .from those images.
This Bangle was comissioned as Hernan's Tribute, from his sister, for his mother.
Most People have seen Beautiful Jewelry adorning the forehead, or the waistline and even the, belly button of a Belly Dancer....not to mention the beautiful everyday women of the Middle East. I fell in love with this idea...and here you see it in my most recent Bangle Designs. Enjoy, B. Abdoyan
This is a quick Pen & Ink Sketch.... I probably doodle on a sketch pad in this manner 40 to 50 times a week... I decide if I like the result and if I do, it may become a note card design...greeting card...or other such item.
Hope you like the video of Swan Song.

If to tie a string around your finger is to secure a list of "to do's" to the fate of being done...then to wear an elephant on your wrist is to declare a memory never be unspun. Tusk, is a Bangle design inspired by folktales and wishful thinking, and heart warming memories.
A wall clock, inspired by and created in the style of Black Henna- Clock is a wood base. There are 25 Swarovski Crystals on the finished piece. The clock measures 9 x 9 inches. The hands are of a Victorian Style in silver.

At about 13 I discovered a bottle of india ink and a crow quill. I love to draw in INK. Especially black ink. This portrait was a brief return to my artistic roots and how I spent my new years eve. Hope you like it.
