15 sec. abstract animation, first of a serie of 15 sec animations I plan to make as relaxing diversion of the large oil painting I work on at the moment.
Artist RB McGrath takes viewers on a journey through the creation of A Portrait of Salvatore Moltisanti. From a graphite drawing on a 4 x 4 foot canvas through the miriad of layers, to the completion of the full painting in oil, this series of stills gives insight into McGrath's process. The Model: Salvatore Moltisanti - Italian Superstar and Classical Pianist and President and Founder of the IBLA Grand Prize in Regussa, Italy and New York City. The painting took six months to create and was unveiled for the Maestro himself following the IBLA Grand Prize Winners performance in Jacksonville, Arkansas on May 3rd, 2009. Scheduled to be shipped in late May, the Portrait will have a second unveiling in New York City where it will hang at the IBLA Foundation Headquarters in the Collection of Moltisanti. Enjoy. http://www.rbmcgrathfineart.com
I created this peice for a variety of reasons. I'm entering this as a submission for the "2nd Art Race" regarding "Rock And Roll" influenced art and music. The music is an original piece I composed entirely in my own studio (thank God for Les Paul and his invention of the multitrack overdub process!!).
"The Cloedecrist Phoenix" is a sculpture I hope to create very soon. As you're probably aware, the legendary Phoenix is a bird which is burnt and rises from the ashes to live a new life again. This is a significant personal statement in my life right now as I've crashed and burned in this freaking economy. At just over the half-century mark... I'm hoping that I'll be able to rise from the ashes of my past, and experience a bright new vibrant life as an artist (in the mean time... anyone know of any jobs out there for a happening marketing expert?!?!?).
The sculpture will stand approximately 4 tall, and will be just over 7' long. It will encorporate wood, paper, glass and metal pieces, as well as a few "found" objects I have laying around in it's construction!
Also, this is my first foray into animation (well, I suppose actually my second since I posted a "test run" the other night!).
OYE! Take One Blond, a handful of OvationTV media file mix with a brand new Video Editing and Scoring Software, add 14 Cups of Coffee wait til all hours of the night, and Viola you have... "FilmGuru 2009 Demo Test". NO Animals were harmed in the making of this clip... Feel free to critic, comment, and Enjoy!
A short preview of a large oil painting measuring 182 by 487 cms.
Voyage through a human mind, the no existence of reason, an ode to the absurdity of being, a poem for the ones who left too early, dedicated to my beloved wife and to all those who disagree with me.

Eric G. C. Weets - Insight
I thought the viewer will have a better understanding of Weets’ work in general and the oil painting, “90 days from B to C”, in particular, if I write something about the process, how the idea came about and why Weets’ decided to undertake such a mammoth, challenging task (physically and mentally) and accomplished, in the process, what is most important to him as an artist.
PS. We read all the comments posted on the works and appreciate the time and efforts taken in doing so.Many a times, it’s not possible to revert the gesture, which we genuinely regret, more so because we cannot change the fact, under present circumstances.
OYE! Hello OvationTV Family...When I talked to my Mentor Tee Collins about doing an 'Animated' spot for Unicef I was excited, you can imagine how I felt when '3' out of my '4' spots were picked to premiere at 'The United Nations Building' for Children's Rights Day... This project I had orchestrated with Tee and the UCF's Animation Department to Mentor "Animation/ Film Students", and put them into a "Real Life" Studio project for one of my clients... I worked with a very talented crew!
There are 4 spots with "Broadcast Video Slates" in between, watch them all... Critic, Comment, but most of all... Enjoy!

The video symbolizes unconscious ignorance of the individual in the masses.Willingly or not, being unaware of the happenings around does not mean they are not happening. Ignorance born out of stupidity or ideology makes no difference to the ultimate fact that it will lead to disastrous endings. The unaware, who closes their eyes in the belief, “what is not seen, does not happen”, will stay, even when their feet are on fire, positive. Only when the doors are closing and escape impossible, they will wonder and ask, “why?”
My Daughter (ParchmentPeacock is her name here in the community) caught me in a candid moment while I was working on my newest piece, Richter 6.8. She's been showing at her friends and for some reason, laugh uncontrollably. I don't get it. Doesn't seem so funny to me. What's wrong with kids today?!?
OYE! My Friend Animix_Master inspired me to dust off an old script of mine and give it a test run... Artwork for "Into the Darkness" one of my Coffee Inspired Stories... Enjoy!

I can't wait to get started on the sculpture.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!
