The enigmatic Swann takes us inside her home for a fantastical tour that attempts to explain just what a private performance artist doesn't do.
Last season you got to know the divas, but we wanted to shine a spotlight on each of the gals and get a better sense of the women behind the mystery. So we decided to start the second season with three mockumentaries delving deeper into each divas' past/present/general life philosophy. AgNess's boyfriend/manslave "Noodles" was mentioned offhandedly last season, but in this episode we meet him for the first time and finally understand how a "businesswoman" really gets it all done-- her charmed life can't run itself.
DDD superfriend Matt Creed guest stars as Noodles, and as we shot I couldn't help but think that he and Isabel (aka AgNess) look like a pair of twin vampires.
Most of this episode was shot over one day in Isabel's apartment, with just Sara, the camerawoman/editor, and then me running sound. The exception was the "ambien tours" sequence, where we took to the streets of downtown NY for a comic take on guided tours of ground zero. Too soon?
