Artist Statement
I don't really have an 'Artist Statement.' I just do my best, I try new things and always try to learn. As an artist my goal is to create things that make me happy and spark something in other people.
Primary Influences
My biggest influences come from Japanese manga such as Cardcaptor Sakura, One Piece, and Tsubasa (both for story telling and art style) as well as American comics such as Bone and Sandman. I'm also highly influenced by authors such as Neil Gaimen, Terry Pratchett, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Diane Wynn Jones. My friends are also a huge influence on me and my art.
Favorite Medium
I work primarily with hand drawn illustrations that I then scan and color via the computer (I love my mac and wacom tablet) but I'm also fond of watercolors, gouache, and colored pencil. I also enjoy sewing and sculpture.

Interests and hobbies:
I love to play video games, especially platformers and the Zelda series. I read all the time, generally fantasy titles and social satires. I like to bake, walk along the beach, and watch anime. I'm interested in things like old maps and charts and anything steampunky (though not goth steampunk so much)
