Life is right in any case.

I have always been very interested in photography. I have looked at far more photographs than I have paintings. Because their reality is stronger than reality itself. - Francis Bacon

I started by taking photography classes in high school the second semester as a freshman. The first semester was full and I was upset I couldn't get in. After that I basically took it the next three years as both electives. I had a fantastic teacher, Mr Donald Taggert, who would allow me to assist him on weddings and weekend assignments. I would hurry up and do my classroom work so I could get a pass to his class and spend more time in the darkroom. I spent before school, lunch and every moment I could in the darkroom and when it was time for me to graduate, he helped me build a portfolio and I got my first job for as an assistant photographer and darkroom tech for Deborah Goldstein Photo/Design. So, lucky me! was able to eventually take on my own jobs by 17.

I took a few art and photography courses at Sac City College. I became a mother to my son at 19 and did a little side work here and there. Then I had my daughter and shortly thereafter another daughter. So, as I say, "I traded my camera bag for a diaper bag".I took some (but of course not enough) wonderful pics of my children, freelanced a bit, including work for a couple local parenting publications.

Now my children have grown and each pursuing their own artistic ventures. Computer Graphics, Writing, photography and drawing and painting. So a few years ago I bought my DSLR and started revamping my skills, digitally so.

and loving it.
