Ovation TV

I'm new to this community ... just happened to see some art displayed on Ovation TV (my new discovery while I have been at home recovering from surgery) and joined.  I have an artistic past (primarily in music) and aside from a long story, music is quite dormant but photography has become a strong presence.

Even though I have utilized photography both personally and professionally (first within the context of marketing and graphic design, then subsequent freelance work for trade magazines), it was only recently that I publicly shared images that were taken for my personal enjoyment in a gallery environment.  I found most enjoyment with the "IngShui" concept - feng shui friendly images that are visual anchors of personal affirmations.

Artist Statement
I hardly know what to say ... it's always difficult for me to own any artistic "title" even though others seem to easily ascribe it to me! Bottom line? I see curiosity as the seed of creativity and expression as its blossom.

Primary Influences
My grandmother was a writer and painter. My parents were teachers. The love of nature and freedom of the open prairie where I grew up somehow brought it all together. I most enjoy experiencing and expressing something that will inspire personal progress via an artistic medium.

Recent/Upcoming Exhibition or Performance
I'm currently in recluse mode ... but we'll see. I prefer to do projects that benefit others (which consumes my working hours, anyway) and have found myself uncomfortable when I am the center of attention!

Currently? Digital Photography.
