  • Call to Artists

    From our friends at the Crewest Gallery - if you are interested, be sure to tell them we sent you :)


    This is a good one and really need all the help we can get from artists:

    Crewest Gallery is bringing love to the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles for a Valentines day card exchange for the patients so that we can make their day that much brighter with a V-Card designed by artists.

    We are looking for artists who would like to design/create and sign a card or cards for patients. 

    Children’s Hospital has a total of 320 inpatient beds.  We at least need 320 cards.

    Once we get a confirmed group of artists to participate in this project an Official Press Release will be sent which will include a list of all participating artists.

    Please email Luna George at lunacrewest@gmail.com if you are interested in being part of this heart warming project.  I will send you all the details, plus some extra additional details that may be of further interest to you.

    Check it out, the Crewest Gallery got a write up in Juxtapoz Magazine online for this card idea - it has a list of participating artists with at least 5 community member names on there...

    In our last email with Luna, she mentioned the gallery had recieved more than enough card designs and will now be able to send the Valentine's Day cards to several area hospitals, not just the one. Hopefully she will send us a full list of Ovation members whose cards are being sent to the hospitals.

    I just saw some of the cards....wow...very cool!!!! I love the one that used the heart-candies. What a great thing to do to brighten up some sick kid's Valentine's Day.

    I would be happy to participate with the Card Exchange for the children. How many cards would you like? I have lots of supplies and everything I need to create beautiful V cards. Let me know ASAP if you would like my help and where I can send the cards.

    Please,..remember, by the First of Feb., they have to be at the gallery.. On the 5th, they will be distributed to the hospitals, to be therre for the kids on time.. ...You most likely received the e-mails and I see, You read the press releases .More than a thousand cards, from more than 150 artists from around the globe.. so cool..

    Frazzled Blond...OYE! Hey Guys the cookies are out of the Oven and into the mail... I know I promised one, but was able to give them a whopping "18"... All pix are printed on Archival Canvas and will be at Crewest's doors at 10:30 am Tuesday... Enjoy!
