  • Unreal Worlds Art Race!

    Attention Animators & Comic Book Artists!

    We are looking for short animations AND original comic book art.

    Upload your short animations in video format or upload your comic book art in image format to the Ovation TV Community. We will select winners from both categories to be featured in a My Art spot on-air during Unreal Worlds, Dec. 26-31st.

    If you use music in your animation, make sure it is original music created by you or you have the rights to it. You will have to sign release forms for both the animation and the music.

    Make sure your images are original, with comic book characters created by you. No copies of Superman or Batman.

    When you upload, remember to tag all submissions with "unrealworlds" or post them to this Unreal Worlds Art Race Discussion.

    Deadline: December 7th, 2009.

    We will contact you through the community if you are chosen to be featured on-air.

  • Problem solved: Lights of Mind

    I captured a Flash video on my Mac using Snapz Pro to create a QuickTime .mov file. It looked fine. But when I uploaded to Ovation TV, it was rejected over and over. help said to post to this discusssion, but meanwhile I  exported the file from QuickTime Pro (the player) using PhotoJPEG codec and AAC audio. That was accepted. Vector edges are crisp and look good even in HQ. As far as what is "real" goes, I'm hoping unreal means "imaginative". Here's an entry:

    Great submissions so far! Keep them coming.

    Also note, we have opened the submissions to longer animations. We will accept animated films more than 30 seconds though we may not be able to show more than 30 seconds on-air if it wins.
