Post a photo of your favorite piece of art......something you really are proud of. I know favorites change frequently...but pick something that's in your gallery right now that you think is really nice! I chose this photo of a dock in the fog because I love blue....I love the water....and I remember this morning vividly. The fog was so thick you could cut it with a knife and I got lot's of nice photos that day.
It's titled "The Reach" after a Stephen King short story. Looks like you could start walking and just disappear in the fog forever. The location is a State Park in Indiana and there wasn't a soul in the entire place that morning except me. It was a peaceful feeling and I still feel it when I look at the photograph.

Though God and my wife must take most of the credit, I was partly involved in creating this beautiful piece of artwork. Her name is Britta and she is 15 years old, and gets more beautiful every day! She is definitely

Hey Mark, sorry A WOMAN'S SUIT "creeps" you out... "weirds" is more what I usually go for. Don't worry, I'm not offended in the least. My simplistic, personal imagination is probably my most marketable quality, and I generally let it rip. I'm not sure I have a satisfactory explanation of the painting. It was never intended as a gross "Silence of the Lambs" tribute... just a disturbing and mysterious gender-bender. Like with most of my paintings, I started this "psycho-drama" with quick, crazy free-fancy drawings in my sketchbook. There were a "chosen few" images that I felt had "something different" worth translating into oils. The translations don't always work, but I felt A WOMAN'S SUIT did. BTW the half-visible painting on the wall in the next room IS of a female nude torso. For being so simple, there are so many questions. The bright color palette and cartoon style add even more strangeness to the piece. Aw, hell! What do I know?... I just painted it! Ha! I'll repost it here for easy reference. Thanks for asking about it, Mark.
Hey Mike...it creeps me out in a good way...ha! I actually think it's awesome. It's a mind bender for sure. My first impression
My favorite piece of art is ME. Because in painting myself I was able to realize my past and my present, my pluses and minuses, my beauty and my uglyness, my sins and my grace. I love to study my own ageing process. I really like ME. I can't think of anyone I like more than ME. I love ME more than anyone else does. I can't get enough of ME. I kiss myself in the mirror every morning. I bless myself morning, noon and night. I see ME as one of God's most wonderful creations. I can't look in the mirror enough. My world evolves around ME. ME ME ME. I Can't get enough of ME. I get along with ME better than anyone else. I don't mind my own bad habits. I don't mind laughing at ME when I'm stupid. As a matter of fact, I could spend hours talking with ME and live with ME the rest of my life. Gosh - I love ME. And really....this is a pretty good painting.
RB, you are so hysterical
Mark, thanks for your thoughts about A WOMAN'S SUIT. And you're right... So many different people have so many different readings into this image, which creates a lot of intrigue. I think it adds to the success of this painting. Just when you think you comfortabl
Great stuff! RB...you crack ME up...ha. Stuart, that photo of your father is one of my all time favorite portraits.
