Description:

Baha’i Temple, just outside of Chicago is a solid concrete building. Not carved out of limestone, nor cobbled from solid rock; this building was literally poured into molds, bound up with metallic veins of re-bar. I have never visited this building when it was not undergoing re-construction. An imposing, quiet structure, perpetually falling apart and being healed.

The Baha’i faith, to the extent that I understand it, is like an open source religion; whatever it is that you truly believe, that is a valid faith within Baha’i and the shared faith of the many within the community enriches the human soul on earth. Interesting side note: I have met an unusual number of agnostics on my photographic visits to the temple.
