Unreal Worlds Animation Submissions

WANTED, ARTISTIC ANIMATIONS TO BE BROADCAST ON OVATION TV...

Ovation TV reaches over 28 million homes nationwide. Its the only digital cable network that airs programming dedicated to the arts.

This June, Ovation TV takes you to a world of incredible imagination through the world's most incredible animation - Unreal Worlds.

Now you have a chance to be a part of our animation celebration:

  • Create a profile on the Ovation TV Online Community
  • Join the Unreal Worlds animation group which can be found here.
  • Upload your animation and add it to the Unreal Worlds Submissions Group by checking the box on the upload page
  • That's it! We'll be reviewing them as they come in and we'll notify if you've been selected.

THE BEST SUBMISSIONS WILL APPEAR ON TV DURING OUR UNREAL WORLDS EVENT IN JUNE.
If your work is selected it will air along side great animators: Ub Iwerks (Mickey Mouse), Ardman Animaton (Wallace & Gromit), Hiyao Miyazaki (Spirited Away) and Sylvain Chomet (Triplets of Belleville). As well as the world television premiere of the animated feature, Dante's Inferno. Director Sean Merideth's witty and accessible adaptation places the journey through hell in a modern urban setting featuring Dermot Mulroney as the voice of Dante and James Cromwell as the guide through hell. We are only accepting entries no more than ONE MINUTE in length. The new deadline is indefinite so animate away! Ongoing submissions will be considered for the My Art series. However, if your submission is receved by June 6th it will be considered for the Unreal Worlds event in June 2008.

Broadcast Ready, these are the required specs:

Field dominance; single field
-uncompressed or animation compressor, no windows media player

AND...

HD if available:
1080i or 1080p
Frame rate 59.97 (drop frame)
Aspect ratio: 1080ix1920
