My "Portrait of the Passion" Series is a collection of Monochromatic paintings, using Bold, Flat, Rich colors to help create a deep emotion for each and every viewer. I want this unique blend of techniques to reach out and grab your attention as soon as you walk through the front door, as you walk from painting to painting, and all the way up until you leave the show. Allowing yourself to let my art open your mind to a fresh new outlook on Christ's last days. Although, Impressionism is my goal on this project. People are coming away with an added feel of surrealism, which is exciting for me.
At this time, I'm only half way through the series but my own heart has allowed me to be very blunt about how I want to express myself. After I began the passion collection, my own life began crumbling before me. I am living and feeling what I am painting. So when I painted the feeling of security, my life was also safe secure. When I painted despair, I was in despair. When I painted chaos, my life was chaotic.
I am using my personal journey as a tool for my creativity. Although, no artist will ever be able to match the true feelings of Christ's last days, I know that you will come away with a open mind and a stronger outlook of the events that took place. As well as being able to connect with the paintings from events in your own life.
