    • Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4  I discovered by traveling around and living between people of different ethnic and religious backgrounds, that there is not so much difference in what people dream about, everybody wants the same, the same what also the caveman wanted, only the belief in how to get it differentiates us from the cave man and each other. It looks that we are still driven by our instincts instead of common sense. We still go for everything that is beautiful, naively romantic to outstandingly creepy, from deep down earth with all the cruelty and pain, to the higher heavens where all worldly gods live in all innocence, a paradise like life. I thinks that if life in itself was not so sad and miserable for all these millions of people, who are born on the wrong side of the world, at the wrong time of the day, who suffer through circumstances beyond their control or involvement, it all could be laughable. Life itself looks to be a sad joke, preferably not to be repeated (:

    •   “Beyond reason or how one hand needs the other to pass time – Part I”, is a science fiction movie going about slightly disoriented creatures who live in the very far future, long after the Homo Sapiens have died out, and who look back into the history of their creator, in so far they know and as far as they are able to; taking in account their own mental imperfections, as they are created by an imperfect super being.

    • Be aware not to go there where you get sucked inside  the darkness of a long forgotten past where all wrong ruled over all right.   Be aware because they are there who will take you with friendly smiles and kind words, where they feed the youngest and the old alike with golden spoons shame, pain, guilt and insecurity.   They let you read and then repeat more than a million times and tell that everything is right.  But inside you there is the other you who is not at all convinced, you feel unstable, seriously confused and want to get out one of the other way.   But it’s too late, you waited too long, your feet got rooted in the well.

    • INDIFFERENCE

    • Indifferent knows all is always lost, no thing is ever found.  There isn’t an end or beginning, only gravity. Satisfaction is no part of the game, pleasure soon forgotten. To avoid pain and sorrow it turns its back to everything unknown, Closes the windows to the outside worlds and hides behind false memories. Indifferent has some friends, indifferent friends and together they are strong and powerful, watches soaps and sports and reality TV, some tell they are happy but they are not and never will be.  

    • Complex brain activity

    • Movie made by Eric G. C. Weets showing how the egocentric aerial fancies of the egg white proteins showing themselves off to be taken serious, by the electrolytes and the rest of brains electrically conductive mediums who can takeoff anytime, leaving the host behind in a poor state of mind. Movie better not be shown to people with unstable feet and shaky hands or the ones who speak Flemish without an accent.

    • IGNORANCE

    • The video symbolizes unconscious ignorance of the individual in the masses.  Willingly or not, being unaware of the happenings around does not mean they are not happening. Ignorance born out of stupidity or ideology makes no difference to the ultimate fact that it will lead to disastrous endings. The unaware, who closes their eyes in the belief, “what is not seen, does not happen”, will stay, even when their feet are on fire, positive. Only when the doors are closing and escape impossible, they will wonder and ask, “why?”

    • Mixed Media: Oil pastel, Chalk Pastel, Pencil, Pen, Charcoal, and my saliva lol This is mainly an oil pastel work. I'd say the Oil pastel makes up 80 Percent of this piece. I started off with a certain method for layering, but it soon degenerated into having chalk pastel in one hand and oil pastel in the other lol.

    • Creating a challenge to myself and artist friends, I created and exhibit called "Day Dreaming/Night." I wanted to capture a dreamy mood or thought and put it on canvas. For me, this piece expressing me being in my studio at home looking out the windows and transporting myself out and through the material space into the day/night and into the universe. Freedom of the limits of expression, earthly space and beyond... how freeing that must be.

    • ... is the magic in believing..Am in the flow now..  flow of balance.. So much in there..Was drawn to the horse..caroussel horse like.. symbolic expresion ..love this creative language of soul..smile..maybe you did not see it..but is in right..from left of middle towards right side..and partially towards bottom.. lots of figures in there..and notice, even faces.. will see..has heavy texture and smooth.. is incredible in neutral light.. cool light.. took this pic under miserable beside table light.. none better in this place..all yellow touch..even though looks white, but camera sees yellow..so..tomorrow morning will retake.. and paint more tomorrow...did all day..love several areas specially much..some none at all..but then..am not done with it yet.. smiiiile...

    • made entirely out of assorted motion shots using the night setting on a digital camera. there are no trees, no sky, no ground. all of it was fabricated from these different shots. tools used include the smudge tool (for the roots only) the eraser (to blend the branches of the tree to the trunk, to isolate and blend the light used in the leaves, and give a shadowy effect for the leaves) the hue saturation, and color balance settings (to change the trees different colors) the select, cut paste and layer options for placing the trees, and making the original tree segment by segment) and the transformation tool (for the rotating, reshaping, and resizing of branches and leaf imitation shapes, and for the ultimate resizing of each individual tree). the trunk of each tree was kept the same size while creating the tree as it was photographed from the street, and turned on its side. the tree was created in true detail, and it almost killed my computer yet again It happens from time to time when working on photoshop with this computer, files don't save right, the window closes itself due to higher priority functioning programs that can't be slowed down for the processing power necessary. I was taking a high resolution photo, keeping its resolution and placing it inside a high resolution photo using a transform tool for scale, down to even 1 fiftieth of its size, each attempt took about five minutes of sitting with my fingers crossed, not daring to move the mouse to minimize the window or do anything else for fear that just processing that I did would jeopordize the operation. a few times before I knew what I was doing, I goofed and hovered over another program which made the window remove more of its visual components for compensation and reloaded the progress bar to 40% all over again. I need a new computer I think for the work being done. after patience and endurance however, my computer pulled through, and I finished it and saved it successfully. perhaps my most difficult digital collage so far.

    • ...very personal..and close to me..  took months to complete..is in Italy, with Galleria Camaver Kunsthaus International on exhibition..since 3 years..Has been in Acquasparta, 'Cesi' palace now museum, three times on exhibit..as well as in Paris.. and many other special places..and I miss it.. Lost my first i-photo..not recovered yet..where several great photos of it are..took this one from absolutearts.com/laselectart portfolio..  which is my only complete portfolio..Hope..it comes up alright.. not too savvy with saving pix.. Painting is in acrylics and  finished in November 2006. And yes..this is introduced , where ever it is exhibited, as one of my master pieces.  To me.. is a special Master Piece. Humbly,say this..because I really do not ever know..how I create ..thank creative core for that.. that I am able, to paint..create.. with what ever media my core is 'drawn' to.. Feel 'lost' today..actually too long a while now..Visited many beautiful art works since weeks, and got away from my inside lost feel..thank you, for that..But have to face night..and day after.. so..guess will be visiting tomorrow again..enjoy all energy and beauty offerings of other so fine talents.. Also painted on 'Morning always comes'..mountains.. in oil..will upload tomorrow.. morning..must come.. soon..............................................................

  • To Marysusan: Surrealism was originally intended to... Portray or interpret the workings of the unconscious mind as manifested in dreams. It is characterized by an irrational, noncontextual arrangement of material. A rather whacked in the head look. So it can be damned near anything 'strange, edgy or unusual. Tomaso
