    • Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4  I discovered by traveling around and living between people of different ethnic and religious backgrounds, that there is not so much difference in what people dream about, everybody wants the same, the same what also the caveman wanted, only the belief in how to get it differentiates us from the cave man and each other. It looks that we are still driven by our instincts instead of common sense. We still go for everything that is beautiful, naively romantic to outstandingly creepy, from deep down earth with all the cruelty and pain, to the higher heavens where all worldly gods live in all innocence, a paradise like life. I thinks that if life in itself was not so sad and miserable for all these millions of people, who are born on the wrong side of the world, at the wrong time of the day, who suffer through circumstances beyond their control or involvement, it all could be laughable. Life itself looks to be a sad joke, preferably not to be repeated (:

    • In their baked eggs world the sisters Popoulof live their baked eggs lives, without moving one inch.  Pinned on the walls of their imaginary destines they are rarely happy most of the time sad,  but anyhow it is better than stepping outside and be confronted with galaxies of baked eggs illusions of Popouloves like you and me.     Even when their lives are shaken upside down, reality takes its toll, the Popouloves will, hardened by their convictions, not move from their strongholds, till they got wiped out through no reason or use anymore.

    •   “Beyond reason or how one hand needs the other to pass time – Part I”, is a science fiction movie going about slightly disoriented creatures who live in the very far future, long after the Homo Sapiens have died out, and who look back into the history of their creator, in so far they know and as far as they are able to; taking in account their own mental imperfections, as they are created by an imperfect super being.

    • Be aware not to go there where you get sucked inside  the darkness of a long forgotten past where all wrong ruled over all right.   Be aware because they are there who will take you with friendly smiles and kind words, where they feed the youngest and the old alike with golden spoons shame, pain, guilt and insecurity.   They let you read and then repeat more than a million times and tell that everything is right.  But inside you there is the other you who is not at all convinced, you feel unstable, seriously confused and want to get out one of the other way.   But it’s too late, you waited too long, your feet got rooted in the well.

    • Indifferent knows all is always lost, no thing is ever found.  There isn’t an end or beginning, only gravity. Satisfaction is no part of the game, pleasure soon forgotten. To avoid pain and sorrow it turns its back to everything unknown, Closes the windows to the outside worlds and hides behind false memories. Indifferent has some friends, indifferent friends and together they are strong and powerful, watches soaps and sports and reality TV, some tell they are happy but they are not and never will be.

    • ...very personal..and close to me..  took months to complete..is in Italy, with Galleria Camaver Kunsthaus International on exhibition..since 3 years..Has been in Acquasparta, 'Cesi' palace now museum, three times on exhibit..as well as in Paris.. and many other special places..and I miss it.. Lost my first i-photo..not recovered yet..where several great photos of it are..took this one from absolutearts.com/laselectart portfolio..  which is my only complete portfolio..Hope..it comes up alright.. not too savvy with saving pix.. Painting is in acrylics and  finished in November 2006. And yes..this is introduced , where ever it is exhibited, as one of my master pieces.  To me.. is a special Master Piece. Humbly,say this..because I really do not ever know..how I create ..thank creative core for that.. that I am able, to paint..create.. with what ever media my core is 'drawn' to.. Feel 'lost' today..actually too long a while now..Visited many beautiful art works since weeks, and got away from my inside lost feel..thank you, for that..But have to face night..and day after.. so..guess will be visiting tomorrow again..enjoy all energy and beauty offerings of other so fine talents.. Also painted on 'Morning always comes'..mountains.. in oil..will upload tomorrow.. morning..must come.. soon..............................................................

    • Body of Water Δ Detail

    • Detail of acrylic collage posted a while ago.  This may have been the first time I combined my own photography image (a tree that ended up looking like roots) with my acrylic collage technique. I also integrated some victorian wallpaper that I salvaged out of a burned out house.

  • To Marysusan: Surrealism was originally intended to... Portray or interpret the workings of the unconscious mind as manifested in dreams. It is characterized by an irrational, noncontextual arrangement of material. A rather whacked in the head look. So it can be damned near anything 'strange, edgy or unusual. Tomaso
