Sometimes meeting an artist is worth a hundred times a thousand. Such is the case with Jo Owens Murray out of Collegeville, Pennsylvania.Something menacing or something magnificent, either way you slice the pie, Murray stands on her own originality. She is the quintessential girl most likely to become a crazy cat lady and she loves it. She moves with ease, she dresses with her own eye, and she capitvates with her personality and her pearled pebble pieces. • Perpetual motion of no sense

    • In principle, this video is meant to be shown on a flat screen hanging just like a painting on a wall more or less as a decorative element. The video is without a beginning or an end, because it visualizes the perpetual motion of inconsequent behavior.I belong to the first generation of lucky ones who did not have to face the destruction of war personally, nevertheless, because I grew up with elderly people I got on almost daily base confronted with stories of the Great War and the Second World War.  When I was a child, one of my great uncles told me that he and many others with him believed that after the Great War ended in 1918, people will avoid anything that leads to war again, because of the immense loss of human life and destruction of everything beautiful they experienced personally. Later on he told , with a beer in his hand and a sarcastic smile on his face, that his belief in “never war again” sounded in 1939 as a big joke. The wheels of destruction never stop turning. If it is not on this side of the globe then it is happening somewhere else.

    • 90 DAYS FROM B TO C

    • A short preview of a large oil painting measuring 182 by 487 cms. Voyage through a human mind, the no existence of reason, an ode to the absurdity of being, a poem for the ones who left too early, dedicated to my beloved wife and to all those who disagree with me. Eric G. C. Weets. ------- Eric G. C. Weets - Insight I thought the viewer will have a better understanding of Weets’ work in general and the oil painting, “90 days from B to C”, in particular, if I write something about the process, how the idea came about and why Weets’ decided to undertake such a mammoth, challenging task (physically and mentally) and accomplished, in the process, what is most important to him as an artist.   For those who are interested, my blog about this is at : http://community.ovationtv.com/_Eric-G-C-Weets-insight/blog/431672/16878.html   PS. We read all the comments posted on the works and appreciate the time and efforts taken in doing so.  Many a times, it’s not possible to revert the gesture, which we genuinely regret, more so because we cannot change the fact, under present circumstances.   Filomina Pawar.

    • vendors from elks lodge show

    • this is an album of the people I met at the elks lodge art sale last weekend. I met many wonderfull, talented people there. in the top left hand corner is a guy named Ken and myself. very smart guy had fantastic conversations with him. He makes wooden carved crosses. top center are two ladies one of which wished to remain anonymous and another named Shannon. for the life of me I have a horrible memory of names and couldn't tell you which was which, but they were both very nice, very talented people. in the right top corner are two ladies, Pat and Gwen also very tallented very nice people. In the middle row to the left are three ladies starting left to right; Tamra, Dottie, and then My mother Jamie. Of course I hadn't just met my mother, and Tamra actually was the one to inform us about this show. we go to church together, and she was friends with some of the neighboring vendors from a few other churches and other places. A new aquaintaince, Dottie, in the middle of the photo, uses old vases and water pitchers and does relief patterns on them in a collage form. Tamra had several crafts at her stand, from herself and others, and my mother does jewelry, beaded embroidery, and other beaded arts. In the center proud and tall, is an anonymous gentleman and a special tortilla warmer in one hand, a fruit drink in the other. He was perhaps one of the few besides myself who could touch the ceiling by lifting his hand, being as in order to capture him I had to turn my camera sideways. on the right middle is the team of Mary and Harlan. She was the second beader at the event, and had amazing peices as well. On the bottom left is Christa with her handcrafted Bra purses. very popular items for the red hat societies. On the bottom right we finally have two fantastic people, Debbie and Lisa, holding onto their crafts in progress. one is working on a wire cross, and another a pin felted hat for her daughter, I sat across from these ladies when watching over my paintings, and we kept eachother from boredom sharing crafting tips and phylosophy. altogether I had a fabulous time. can't wait for the next show, wherever it takes me.
