    • RB McGrath's First Solo Show

    • RB McGrath's very first Solo Art Exhibition took place on March 5, 2010 in Little Rock, Arkansas sponsored by Wealth Management, Incorporated. Along with a river of wine and food, music by the Alan Storeygard Trio caressed a rapt audience who sauntered their way through three galleries of my paintings.  This video is for all of my Ovation Television Community web site friends and Art compatriots.  This was a 4 hour, one night only event that was peopled by art lovers in Little Rock and from as far away as Oklahoma and Texas.  The show was packed.  Some of the comments made by the attendees might be a little difficult to hear at first as the noise leve began to rise when the wine started flowing.  A good time was had by all and the show was successful.  I hope You, my friends of the Ovation TV Community web site enjoy this little movie I've put together for you.  Have fun, and thanks for all your support during the weeks leading up to my first solo show.  RB McGrath

    • Jim's Pawn

    • My most recent work, finished March 15, 2010.  Depicting beautiful downtown Jacksonville, Arkansas on North First Street. My studio is located in the distant part of the painting, just under the bridge and only 25 yards from the railroad track.  The painting centers on Jim's Pawn shop.  The focal point is a sole red pickup truck parked in front of a NO PARKING ANYTIME sign.  And don't forget to notice that there is a SALE sign in the window of Jim's Pawn.  Tehehehehe.  Isn't that a riot?!! The contrast is between the old buildings of a sleepy southern Baptist town and the new, modern bridge that spans the railroad tracks.  The story is the simple grace of old buildings right after a storm while the streets are still wet and the sun is starting to break out.   The painting is oil on stretched canvas, height: 24" and width: 48 inches on found canvas.  Hope you like it.  RB McGrath

  • Hello fellow artist all over the world. This painting in the thumbnail here, is 3 feet X 4 feet, acrylic-original, completed on July the 25th, 2009 and now being showed at the Union Station In Kansas City, Mo. for a first place ribbon, of course there will be others to vote on. Wish me Luck

  • I AM PAINTING EVERYDAY AND CREATING IMAGES IN A DIGITAL FORMAT ALSO....THE COST IS PROHIBITIVE, BUT I CAN'T STOP MY GREATEST PLEASURE......STORAGE COSTS FOR A FEW HUNDRED IMAGES IS $177 A MONTH, STUDIO IS $825 AND FOOD, WINE, AND BUDZ ARE $1,000. TRANPORTATION IS ANOTHER FEW HUNDRED A MONTH FOR FUEL, INSURANCE, AND MAINTENANCE...SO, YOU HAVE TO BE INDEPENDANTLY WEALTHY OR BLESSED WITH "THE ABILITY TO HUSTLE".
