this is a reflection on my absolutely worst day of the calendar year. its the day of the first 24 hour overcast sky. It messes with me emotionally. It's not just the fact I don't like the cold much, but it is also the idea that when this happens I cant see the sunset or sunrise, I can't see the stars at night or the full moon, there's less dramatic light to play with, there's less time to paint. I like the charge I get from it, and there is a lot to do with grey, but honestly I much preferr the days before when I didn't really have to try very hard to find pleasure in the sky's wonders. also, my internal clocks get all screwed up, its hard to get up in the morning and harder to go to sleep at night. I use to associate it as well with the start of schooling in the fall back in high school. I usually try to ignore it by focusing more on the holidays ahead.
