Novelists Victor LaValle and Gary Shteyngart
From June 24 through July 29, Time Warner Cable’s Video-On-Demand will broadcast behind-the-scenes video with Novelists Victor LaValle and Gary Shteyngart as they discuss the creative process, a love of horror stories, and a world without books with New York City public high school students—part of the 92nd Street Y’s Poetry Center Schools Project. This exclusive content is available to Time Warner Cable customers. To watch, simply access Time Warner Cable’s local Video-On-Demand service on Channel 1111. Select the “Around NY” menu option, open the 92nd Street Y folder and the “LaValle/Shteyngart” program will be available for viewing.
Time Warner Cable’s New York Region and Ovation joined forces to support the 92nd Street Y Poetry Center Schools Project. The literary education program reaches 1,500 public school students annually. In-class creative writing workshops are combined with the opportunity for students to meet leading contemporary writers and hear them read live in 92Y’s concert hall—all free-of-charge to students and schools.
