I am heading uptown this morning to the Italian Cultural Institute (on 68th Street and Park) to meet with curator Adrien Sina, for a tour of his extraordinary exhibition, “Feminine Futures.” It’s a remarkable, historic and incredibly important exhibition that I urge everyone to see. It starts with the work of the only female Futurist,Valentine de Saint Point (pictured above), and explores that of many other women of the early 1900s who shaped Futurist ideas and the 20th century!
I will then go to the Performa Hub for the Pasta Sauna! Do not miss this fun anti-pasta Futurist food event! You will be delighted by the combination of ideas, design, music-box music and nourishment.
Afterwards a wonderful one-man Italian Festival under the arch in Washington Square — that’s at 3pm by Marcello Maloberti.
From there to Nikhil Chopra at the New Museum — an extraordinary, mix of meditation, history and visuals to seduce you.
At 6pm we should all meet at X-Initiative on 22nd Street for the Bruce High Quality Foundation and at 8.30 back at St.Mark’s Dance Project, to see Tacita Dean’s stunning full length film, “Craneway Event,” of Merce Cunningham and Company at work!
Off we go!
