I just wanted to share this information regarding a company in China stealing Artists images and re-producing them for profit.

It has been brought to my attention that the company (bluemoonhouse2012 on U.S. eBay) and (bluemoonhouse2011) on Canada's eBay has taken my Aceo Card image and listed it as an original oil painting size 24" x 36". This company is out of China and apparently they are taking Artists Copyrighted works and reproducing them for approximately $50-$90. This Company used my original listing word for word in the description section for the item even including the Aceo within the description. " Dapple Gray horse Christmas Antique Rocking Horse original aceo painting".

There are many artworks listed for sale from this company and I wanted to share this in order for other Artists to be on the lookout for stolen works as well. In closing, I immediately filed a report with eBay and Atty.

  • Update on 12/11/2012: bluemoonhouse2012 and bluemoonhouse2011 removed the listing from eBay of my work but the Company remains in business. Upon further research I discovered another online art sales venue for this company linked here: http://www.aliexpress.com/


    It was while looking through the (Oil Paintings) on this site, I noticed another artist's work posted for sale and I immediately sent this fellow Artist the link and information pertaining to his work.

  • I hope you get compensated and they shut this place down. this is becoming all too prevalent and artists need to take a stand. Keep us updated! This has also happened to another artist here on Ovation.
