COLLIDING WORLDS TALKS FILM MAKERS DANIEL CARDONE, COLEMAN MILLER, CHRITOPHER HALLIGANColliding Worlds – an art documentary in a 30-minute format

COLLIDING WORLDS, an ART DOCUMENTARY in a 30-minute format, kicks off Season 2 with MAKING MOVIES, a discussion with independent filmmaker Daniel Cardone, documentarian Christopher Halligan and experimental filmmaker Coleman Miller.

Australian Daniel Cardone now calls Palm Springs California his home. Daniel produced the Australian TV series, OUTLAND and the short film, AWARD WINNING GAY SHORT. Daniel directed STILL AROUND and INCIDENT, which he also wrote.

Christopher Halligan is the writer/director of the provocative METHAMERICA. Christopher attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he received his masters in film theory.  In 2005, Christopher wrote and directed a short, THE METROSEXUALS.  It was one of his scripts, Macon Jones and Infinite Blue Sky - a story about a Midwest farm kid who comes home from college to find his entire town hooked on meth - that opened his eyes to the dark world of methamphetamine addiction and lead to the production of his feature documentary film, METHAMERICA. Christopher is also a full-time English professor.

Coleman Miller, award winning experimental filmmaker, has been making films for over 20 years. Coleman Miller has been making short films for over twenty years. He worked at San Francisco’s Monaco Motion Picture Lab for ten years, refining his style and making numerous abstract short films dealing with the film medium itself. Coleman turned use of found footage. In his 2005 award winning film, Uso Justo, translated as "Fair Use", Coleman edited his own subtitles to a 1950s Mexican hospital melodrama and warps it into an existential comedy. Coleman also works in print media and kinetic sculpture.

Colliding Worlds also highlights Desert Art Center located in Palm Springs California. This art oasis offers gallery and classroom opportunities for the local art community.

“As we start Season Two of Colliding Worlds, our mission, to bring art, in all its forms, to the consciousness of the public, remains strong, “ says producer and host Angela Valente Romeo.  Colliding World provides a medium for the artists to explore their vision no matter their medium. “Art is integral to us all. It is the extension of who we are, where we have been and where we will go,” said Ms. Romeo.
Along with Videographer and Editor, Steve Tanguy, host Angela Valente Romeo has taken Colliding Worlds to many venues. “Colliding Worlds is a non scripted, one-on-one interview with the artist. This format allows for an open honest dialogue between the artist and the audience,” states Ms. Romeo.  “With local roots, we are global in our reach.”
