A female Snowy Egret sits on her nest, her mate not far away. To strengthen their bond the two go through the movements of an elaborate mating ritual. The beautifuly displayed feathers (once used for ladies hat's) are a part of the dance, as is the out stretched neck. I took this photograph during the "Golden Hour" (a favorite time for lighting to many photographer's) hence the warmth of color. Enjoy........
